I use a Windows function called InternetCanonicalizeUrl to encode status messages before posting them to Twitter. It encodes é as %E9. So for example, "café mocha" turns to "caf%E9%20mocha".
When I post this as a status update to Twitter, it shows up as "caféocha". The "m" is dropped for some reason. Is this a known issue? Thanks.
