There are occasionally cache latency issues when fetching status objects. In this case, you likely requested a home_timeline shortly after one of the tweets that would appear in home_timeline had been favorited by the owner of the home_timeline -- but the cache on the specific status from the perspective of that user had not yet been updated to reflect the change in favorited status.
If you notice behavior like this remain "stuck" after a reasonable period of time, be sure and let us know.
