Any update? It's been almost a year... Seems inconceivable that the two OAuth methods would be incompatible... The ease of use of the Javascript @anywhere widgets, with social signon, feels like something that lots of folks would be looking for. If not this combo, what is the current best practice if we want user authentication using Twitter signon, and then snazzy UI widgets for follow/tweet/etc?
