Hi there, You may be able to determine the user's location by their profile location field, but it's not a reliable source of information since it is free-form and potentially inscrutable, fictional, hilarious, and sometimes parseable. Some users geotag individual tweets with more reliable location data.
Other demographics like age, gender, income level, occupation, etc are not available directly from the API nor explicitly collected by Twitter -- some of the concepts of these demographics wouldn't apply to account types like companies, robots, cats, illnesses, and institutions. However, it is possible to derive such data (to what accuracy I am not sure) and a few companies may provide APIs of this might-be-information. @episod <http://twitter.com/episod> - Taylor Singletary On Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 6:45 PM, BC <[email protected]> wrote: > Is there a way to see the demographics (age, sex, location) of a > user's followers with the twitter api?
