hi everyone,

i'm wondering if the following behavior is usual or not :

i'm trying to connect to a website on a tcp port that i know won't work.

here' what i receive :
==OnStateChange : httpClosing
==OnStateChange : httpReady
==RequestDone : httpABORT - ErrCode=0 - Status Code : 200
==OnStateChange : httpNotConnected
==OnStateChange : httpDnsLookup
==OnStateChange : httpDnsLookupDone

Then after a while, i have an exception (intercepted by madExcept) which says :
[CODE ON]
date/time         : 2006-01-18, 12:27:44, 671ms
...
madExcept version : 3.0a
...
exception class   : EHttpException
exception message : Connection reset by peer (Error #10054).

main thread ($980):
004cad8c httpTestURL.exe HttpProt      2555 THttpCli.DoRequestSync
004cbc28 httpTestURL.exe HttpProt      3161 THttpCli.Get
004e5638 httpTestURL.exe ufrmHttpTest   278 TForm1.Button2Click
[CODE OFF]

i'm wondering why it is an exception that is triggered and not a socket error
event ?

Regards,
