FYI, it is the same notation in C/C++:   *((char *)Data + Offset)
You have to tell the compiler the correct type of pointer so that he does 
the correct calculation.
If Data argument is defined as PChar (char * in C/C++) then in both language 
the notation is a little bit more clear:
Delphi: Data[Offset]
C/C++: Data[Offset]
