Setup: WinXP/7, Delphi2007, ICSv6 (with option to eventually upgrade).

The program I'm telnetting into needs to do proper processing before closing.
When the user shuts down the program, I'm wanting to send a closing message and
then shut down after the host closes the connection.
I'm requesting advice on how to do this correctly.

I could cancel the shutdown and send the message, then shut down when the host
closes, but because of multi-threading and related side-effects, I'm thinking
there should be a better way.
