Hello Barrie,

As Emmanuel showed, the sublist must have a greater indentation than
its parent list.

Just as you do for bullet lists:

- mother list
  - sub list
     - sub sub list

You must do when nesting lists of different types:

- mother bullet list
  + sub numbered list
     : sub sub definition list
        - sub sub sub bullet list

and so on.

Just add one or more spaces in front of your hyphens for the bullet
list and it will nest inside the mother definition list.

When two different list types are found on the same indent, txt2tags
automatically closes the first and opens a new list. That's what
happened to you, where a definition and a bullet list were on the same
indent.
