Synagogue
Spend an afternoon exploring and enjoying your Jewish
heritage--celebrate the month of Elul at Beth Meyer
Synagogue!  Beth Meyer presents the second annual Elul
Fest.  Elul is the month in the Jewish calendar before
the High Holidays and the month during which we
prepare for the holidays.  The Elul Fest will feature
a shofar blowing contest, Israeli folk dancing (and
dance instruction), crafts, a Jewish book fair, world
music by the Panorama Jazz Band and other musical
groups, educational and informational material about
Elul and the High Holidays, raffles, door prizes, and
kosher carnival-style food (including vegetarian
options).  There will be activites for kids, including
a moon bounce which will also be open for adults
during part of the festival.

pro-Israel lobby, is offering a community-wide
