Temple Beth Shalom of Cary invites anyone who does not already have plans for the High Holidays to attend their services.  Temple Beth Shalom will not charge anyone an entrance fee nor require a ticket to attend.  For more information including times and location of services, please visit their web site, http://uahc.org/congs/nc/nc004/.
   
   
Come support a  TYJP member who has an art show in Raleigh through the month of September. Selanna Reiner has 14 mosaic pieces and 3 paintings on display and for sale at The Company Store in Glenwood South. The address is 517 West Jones street, which is across the street from the entrance to the Restaurant 518, within the first block of West Jones street. West Jones is parallel to Peace Street, about 1/4 mile closer to downtown. The Company Store has coffee, desserts and wine, as well as other artwork and antiques for sale. Selanna's work is in a room to the right of the main room. Hours are 11 am to midnight Tues. - Friday, 10 am to midnight Saturday, 10 am to 9 pm Sunday, and closed Mondays. The phone # is 832-4402. Join TYJP for the September Happy Hour at the Hard Times Cafe in the Glenwood South district of Downtown Raleigh.  The Hard Times Cafe is known for their variety of Chili specializing in hot stuff.  We will meet in the outdoor seating area at 7:00 PM.

TYJP Day Beach Trip:

Where:  Wrightsville Beach, NC 
   
Summer's last hoorah!?! Join TYJP for a day of fun in the sun, surf, and sand at Wrightsville Beach. Bring your sand pails and other assorted beach accessories and don't forget your bathing suit or sunscreen.
  
Since Wrightsville Beach is approximately 2-2.5 hours from the Triangle, we will be attempting to set-up carpools from the various Triangle areas. Please RSVP with Gil Segal ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) by September 9 for this event, and please indicate:
1.       Where are you planning to come from (Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, other)?
2.       Do you mind driving a carpool to Wrightsville Beach?

Rosh Hashanah Pot Luck Dinner:
When:  Thursday, September 16, 2004
Time:  3:00 PM/Dinner at 4:30 PM
Where:  Michael C.'s house in Cary (RSVP by September 12 for directions) 
   
Do you remember spending fun afternoons after going to shul, with family and friends celebrating Rosh Hashanah?  Will you be in the Triangle spending Rosh Hashanah separated from your family?  If so, join other TYJP'ers and celebrate the New Year at Michael C.'s house in Cary for a Pot-Luck Dinner!  Hors d'oeuvre will be served at 3:00; dinner should start around 4:30.
   
The theme:  "Old Family Recipes".  Please bring appetizers, a main or side dish, or a dessert, to share with others, which you remember from your childhood and you enjoyed.  There will be meat products served at this dinner, but vegetarian dishes will be welcomed as well.  Soft drinks will be provided; BYOB for alcoholic drinks.
   
Please RSVP to Michael C. ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) by September 12, 2004, and indicate what you are planning to bring.  Sorry, this is not the Superbowl party, so please do not ask if beer is an acceptable item to share; however, if you want it for yourself, feel free to bring it.
