Isle of Skye, Scotland
*******************************************************************************
Dear all,
We are happy to announce the first ever edition of the Quantum Informatics CDT
Spring School on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
The School is aimed at PhD students and early career researchers in Quantum
Informatics. (We welcome applications from master's students with the support
of a supervisor, and, depending on availability, from academics.)
The programme consists of the following courses:
* Algorithmics and Complexity: To be confirmed
* Causality: Prof Fay Dowker (Imperial College London)
* Compilation and Resource Estimation: Dr Olivia Di Matteo (University of
British Columbia)
* Error Correction: Dr Armanda Quintavalle (Freie Universität Berlin)
* Programming Languages: Prof Benoît Valiron (CentraleSupélec, Université
Paris-Saclay)
* Semantics: Dr Priyaa Srinivasan (Tallinna Tehnikaülikool)
Other activities planned include a mentoring session, an excursion, and time
for socialising.
The registration fee of £550 covers travel by coach from Edinburgh,
accommodation
on Skye (shared twin rooms), all meals on site, and activities. We are
currently seeking
industry sponsorship and hope to lower the registration price accordingly.
Applications are open until 5 March 2026. Selected applicants will receive an
email by 13 March asking to register. The application link can be found on the
School's website:
