I've just upgraded to typo 4.0.0 and I'm *hugely* pleased with the spam protection bits:
% egrep '^Moderating comment as spam!' /var/log/httpd-error.log-2006-08-0*
| wc -l
138
That's a day and a half. So much less work to do!
