It always depends on the hardware... if you throw 10 application servers and 10 DB servers (over exaggerated) with a bunch of proxy servers no doubts that any framework/application will perform just fine with 350mil req/month. I doubt that you have just one box running with that load. (running plain TYPO3 not accelerated straight from your DB). Don't forget that the above statement highly depends on what your exact requirements are, some requirements do require more hardware then others so it's always hard/impossible to compare two different situations without knowing the requirements. Also, please don't forget that not everybody in the world has the resources to buy hardware in and scale horizontal and/or vertically as easy as you can do in other parts of the world.
