I also wanted to give some advices about dealing with these ids from software 
development perspective (instead of changing the de-facto standard), but the 
OPs issues is with commonly-used software (Zoom and Google Calendar). Yhough, I 
cannot say that I've seen plain IANA ids in the software specifically mentioned 
in the original message, to be honest.
