Perhaps unsurprisingly, the NHL's online schedule does not yet
have "new" zones for BC and Alberta in its dropdown or in its
internal logic for the "Venue Game Time" option
The league has since added options of "Mountain Time (Alberta)" and
"Pacific Time (British Columbia)" to the dropdown, which use MDT and
PDT nomenclature, respectively. "Venue Game Time" now shows the
correct local times for games in the affected cities, with the same
MDT and PDT abbreviations throughout the season.
The key games being November 3rd (Ducks @ Canucks 7:00 PDT), November
5th (Ducks @ Oilers 7:00 MDT) and November 6th (Ducks @ Flames 7:00
MDT). The first games after the nominal end of DST.
Hockey has spoken. Does that make it official?
