I have a similar patch in my tree for quite some time now. I did not mainline it because it is somewhat dirty and it requires the DTC to run on Windows too. (for which I have patches also) So, yes, I am also interested in having this in mainline, but just as Mike said, it is up to the main u-boot maintainer for accepting/rejecting.
