Is there any difference between the R40 and V40? If not, then there's no point in doing this. We already support the R8 and R16 that are exactly the same SoCs than the A13 and A33, respectively, without having to rewrite the whole thing. And if there's some minor differences, you can just add a V40 option that selects the R40. In both cases, the diff is not necessary.
