When submitting patches, especially non-trivial ones, we follow the Linux Kernel guidelines: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/Documentation/process/submitting-patches.rst and require your name to be used in the signed-off-by line, and not a nickname / pseudonym.
