The new U2 lists are now up and available. To send a message to one of the
lists, address it to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
-or-
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Use the above addresses to post, whether you are subscribed to the regular
lists or to the digest lists.
Clif will be shutting down the old lists shortly, and messages sent to the
old list addresses will NOT be forwarded to the new lists, so please make
sure to update your address books, etc to the new addresses. Everyone who
was subscribed to the old lists has been transferred automagically to the
new lists. No effort is necessary on your part (other than to change the
address to which you post, as described above).
The new lists are being managed by Majordomo. Subscribe and unsubscribe
requests should NOT be sent to the list, but should be sent in the BODY (NOT
the subject) of an email addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
For a synopsis of the commands that Majordomo understands, send an email
with the single word "help" (without the quotes) in the BODY to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Note that not ALL of the commands in the
help text are enabled. Specifically, the "who" command has been disabled to
protect against spammers trying to harvest the lists for email addresses.
Please do NOT attempt to send attachments to the list, as they will be
stripped off by our anti-virus software.
If you want to switch from regular mode to digest mode or vice-versa, you
must UNSUBSCRIBE from the list to which you are currently subscribed, and
SUBSCRIBE to the other list. Both commands may be sent in the same email.
For example: to unsubscribe from the u2-users list and subscribe to the
u2-users-digest list, send the following in the BODY (not the Subject) of an
email addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
unsubscribe u2-users {email address}
subscribe u2-users-digest {email address}
Where {email address} is optional. If {email address} is not present, it
will be extracted from the header of the request email. Subscribe requests
require confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email with
authorization instructions to which you must respond before you will be
added to the list. This is another anti-spam measure, to prevent spammers
from subscribing, spamming then unsubscribing. Unsubscribe requests which
originate from an email address OTHER than the one you subscribed with also
require confirmation.
If you have difficulty posting to the lists, subscribing or unsubscribing,
please send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and one of the
moderators will assist you.

these lists, and for his assistance in facilitating their transfer to their
new home.
