The bottom line is that any example to the list is bound in some way to be flawed, since it is presented in snapshot view, with the topic of the moment at hand... The question asked for a looped version. I prefer loops because I've gotten used to loops and can read "clean" looped code rapidly. As such I find GOTO'd code absolutely YUK, but it doesn't take long to reprogram my responses to a new layout. Any maintenance programmer (and who hasn't been there?) who has worked on a variety of systems has to be able to do this - if only for the sake of one's sanity! This doesn't stop me having my preferences, but I know I have to be judicious in my use of my preferences, else I risk making it that much harder to maintain the system for the next guy. After all, there will be a "sameness" about all the code except mine... not good. If the system resembles a kitten and wool anyway, then I'm free to code as I wish ------- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
