I have purchased a copy of VMWare and I am running on XP Pro. I have been
able to find a place that has ISO images of Linux versions - I think someone
mentioned it here, http://www.linuxiso.org/

Now my problem is learning how to use VMWare and at the same time how to
install Linux LOL. I am going to try and see if I can burn ISO images onto
a CDR so that I can just pop them into my cd.

If the name ends in .iso, then either roxio or nero should have grabbed that extension ...

Double-click on the file, and whichever it is should come up and ask you if you want to burn the image to disk. Or there's an option there somewhere (I haven't used it in ages). Just don't do what one guy did, burnt the image AS A FILE to a cd, and then wondered why it didn't work :-)

You should get a bootable cd, though how you boot that within VMware I don't know.

Cheers,
Wol
