Hi,
I am looking for information on Maverick which is (was?) a "Pick style"
dabase engine. The concept was wonderful - to provide a "free-ware" engine.

Never mind the concept - it exists (sort of) in real life: currently there is a basic compiler and runtime, a linear hash file system(similar to dynamic files), a query language(MQL), a locking daemon, telnet server, drivers for non-mv data stores like berkeley db and mysql.

I believe that Robert Colquhoun who has posted many excellent
technical articles here, was involved in the Maverick project.

Yes it is partly my fault ;-)

If anyone has any information on where to contact any of the people behind
Maverick, I would greatly appreciate an email or phone call.

there is the main website: http://www.maverick-dbms.org/ sourceforge project page: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/maverick/ my personal pages http://www.trump.net.au/~rjc/maverick/ mailing list: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/maverick-devel

Attached below is the project contributors file if you need more names - this is of people with copyright in the maverick source. Lots of others have helped by patiently answering questions, recording bugs and providing test programs.
