Useless anecdotes:

According to hacker Paul Boutin, the biggest problem in computing in the
90's was that there are only 17000 TLA's.  Technically that's 17576 which is
26^3, but who argues with hackers?

The TLA "SDI" has 30+ meanings in English alone.

These days you'll notice the TLA is facing EOL/EOJ/ETX as Extended TLA's
(ETLA's), or Four Letter Acronyms, also called FLA's :)  are taking hold.
In the mind of many, this is TMFA (Too Many Freakin Acronyms), but that's
just YABA (Yet Another Bloody Acronym) itself, I guess...
