(Having read several posts from new U2 users lately, and knowing how valuable training can be for long term sanity, I hope nobody takes too much offense to this ad.)
If you have (or are) a new programmer on your staff who gets a little uncomfortable when working with complex BASIC code, I invite you to check out a couple of excellent Connect! courses coming up next week. Wednesday, August 11, at 9am MDT I am offering U2-03003: Working with Files in U2 BASIC. This 2 hour course discusses the variety of I/O statements in U2 BASIC from opening files to reading, writing, clearing, deleting, and working with an active select list. As time permits I also plan to be demonstrating a foundational BASIC template that can be used for reporting out of any U2 file. Later that same day (in fact, immediately after at 11am MDT) I am offering U2-03005: Formulating U2 BASIC Expressions. This course takes an in-depth view of the building blocks of BASIC expressions and demonstrates how to combine expression elements into bigger and more complex entities. Considering the BASIC language is built on a foundation of expressions, those participating in this course should expect to gain a fresh new perspective on reading and writing complex code. Other U2 courses are coming up later in the month, and you can check these out on the interactive schedule at http://www.PrecisOnline.com/train.html . Those not familiar with Connect! can also click the link to learn more. (Basically, from the comfort of your own telephone and browser, Connect! brings valuable LIVE training to you without the time or expense of travel.) Now back to your regularly scheduled crisis... :-) -Kevin [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.PrecisOnline.com ------- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
