I find out-of-office auto-reply messages less than helpful and somewhat
rude. These messages say to me "nanner nanner I'm not at work and you are"!
When I send someone an email, I don't expect an instant reply. Most people
only check their email once each day.

If I need an instant response I phone the person. The worst is someone who
sets on OOO auto-replay but does not change their voice mail message.

My advice is to set your voice mail message to say your not in the office
but don't set the email auto-reply. That way we on the list, and anyone
else that happens to email you during that time, won't get unwanted rude
messages.
