To keep this on-topic, the answer is: don't use Outlook for sending out of office messages. Write an SMTP client in Pick BASIC or other favorite tools which checks your inbox headers and manages messaging the way you want. Or - have a process run through your inbound Outlook mail and send messages to selected associates.
