The header area draws from the generic gift header which is set up in FR.PARMS FINANCIAL.HEADER and FR.PARMS FIN.HEADER.OPTIONS. I think the default header draws from some values in the GIV.HIST file or maybe LTD / YTD. You can look at the person's GIV.HIST record and see if it contains some incorrect values... I think there have been bugs over the years which might be resonsible for the inapt data. Or perhaps, the financials header just uses an incorrect I-descriptor.
You can change the header to use any I-descriptors or information you choose, by editing the FR.PARMS entries. Likewise, look at the FR.PARMS to figure out where the date information is coming from (either from an I-descriptor, or from one of Datatel's shortcuts defined for the financials header). If you figure out where the buggy information is coming from, you can either correct the file (if it's drawing from summary data in GIV.HIST) or if it's coming from you-know-not-where, try replacing the entry with an I-descriptor that does the job properly.
