Shawn: Does UD have the UNASSIGNED function? I can't recall if even UV has it; I've been stuck on an Arev site for a while. Arev has it, and we do what you're wanting to do a lot in the fashion of:
SUBROUTINE XYZ(ARG1, ARG2, ARG3) IF (UNASSIGNED(ARG1)) THEN * Not called from another program * Get the arguments by parsing the command line END Hope this function is available.
