There are some reasonably important users of U2 databases in Australasia
* Your mates (or competitors?) at Ultradata have a major chunk of
the financial services market as I understand it. They have two
banks on this side of the ditch, one of them being KiwiBank, the
banking service of the NZ Post Office. I guess you could ask
them?
* In NZ, 'Gentrack' has almost all the electricity & gas retail
billing market, they are also ACTEW's software supplier. I
expect
they have other sites - you could maybe ask Ken Wallis or look
at
the www.talgentra.com web-site. They also had a library package
which was quite widely used, but it's a few years now since I
was
involved with them.
* IIRC, at least one of the major hotel chains (Hilton or
Sheraton?)
runs on U2, with a support centre based in Singapore.
I know it's a silly idea, but maybe your friendly local IBM Australia U2
sales specialist could fill out that list with lots of local U2 success
stories.

I think we are just about to be involved in a little "Who uses UniVerse
shouldn't we switch to something they teach at Universities." (lets hope
they throw out JCL and the S/390 at the same time).
I remember seeing in the past a list of "Big Users" -- The Australia
Taxation Office, France Telecom etc.
Does anyone know if this list is still available?
Does anyone know where I can download glossy brouchures about IBM's
positioning of U2 in relation to the other databases? (I saw Suzie's
slides in Sydney but I can't see how the IBM website relates to this).
