I do the same thing.

Prepend the PJL stuff, add in the &HOLD& data, then postpend more PJL and
send it to the UV driver, which sends it using lpd to the IR5000. Works
great, really nice replacement/melding of a copier and high speed printer.

We were using old Printronix L1016 (apx 20ppm) to print some invoices,
now with the IR5000, they print at about 60ppm, and stack very neatly.

For now, we are tearing off the tractors and hand separating our old forms
to use in the paper source. Since this machine can print double sided, we
will save a lot on our next order of invoices, since we will print the
wording
ourselves on the back, so now all we need to buy is plain paper.

We also are migrating our label printer from 1-up / 4-up labels over to
the laser 2-across sheets, much faster as well, and much clearer.

For us, this copier/printer is great. So far don't have much bad things to
say.

Have you figured out how to get the stapler to work via PCL/PJC codes? Is
that possible...How cool would that be, send a job and have it auto-stapled.
Can't get much lazier!

George
