Mark, there was a long thread about this as recently as last week in
comp.databases.pick. The topic comes up every couple of weeks or months.
There's lots of passion about various solutions, then the topic dies down
again ... until someone brings it up again as though the question has never
been asked. :)

There are various solutions, your choice depends on your priorities:
- cost
- quality
- desire for low maintenance
- your skills (VB/VBA, Perl, Ghostscript, etc)
- need or willingness to avoid details

If you want "free" you may sacrifice quality and/or you will commit
yourself to maintaining everything yourself. If you want higher quality
you probably don't want to use some of the open source tools out there. If
you pay for a tool you must research it first - more money doesn't mean
more quality. Paying for the right solution should remove the burden of a
learning curve and ongoing support.

Check CDP as indicated, I can provide solutions if required.
