Brian, Since you say that the database server is old and slow, have you checked their file sizing on the database server? If poor, that could be contributing to the slowness on both the web and the local applications. Also, does anyone run the Redback Garbage Collection utility periodically? (if it existed on that release - I started dealing with Redback on the 4.0.3 release, where it does exist, and it does help)
