We have been using Redback for over 4 years now. The learning curve is not
that easy for Unidata/Universe programmers. The paradigm switch to coding
in ASP/JavaScript/HTML is not that hard, but the debugging can be quite
overwhelming. I would recommend at least two or three days training on
Redback. We have found the learning curve to be at least 4 to 8 weeks.

As an IBM VAR we offer on-site and local training for our customers and
clients. Our IBM certified staff have the real world experience creating
web software. We are not just trainers, but we are programmers that can
teach.

Additionally, we sell a tool, called XLr8, which uses Redback to create the
code and therefore minimizes the amount of effort and knowledge needed. Our
tool creates the ASP/JSP code to run your page along with the
HTML/JavaScript automatically. We have a new enhancement for XLr8 that
helps the SB+ programmers convert their applications to the web. You can go
to our web site at http://www.u2logic.com/xlr8_GuidedTours.htm to see the
product in action via some movies examples and data sheets.

Subject: [U2] Redback Startup

What has been the general experience with Implementing/Using
Redback?

Does one need training on this or can it easily be picked by
oneself.

If training is needed were can I get it.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
