Actually, I did test this, it just says the dict is a synonym, asks for confirmation, then removes the VOC entry and the directory, but leaves the D_VOC item alone....
On UV it prompts for confirmation, saying the dict doesn't match the filename, then it removes the data file, but leaves both the dict AND the voc entry :-(
iirc PI used to ask whether to delete the voc entry - it's a damn pain to have to delete it manually in a second operation :-(

I wouldn't use D_VOC for the dictionary because if someone (usually the confident programmer) issues a DELETE.FILE command they would delete the D_VOC (bad bad bad).
