Just what the doctor ordered...

Unidata File Conversion
A new utility, udtconv, has been created to ease the task of migrating from Unidata
to UniVerse. This utility creates a UniVerse file from a Unidata static or dynamic
hashed file, using the same name and file parameters as the Unidata file being
converted by converting Unidata data and dictionary files to UniVerse. You can
run udtconv at the UniVerse, UNIX, or Windows NT level.

Valid command line options for udtconv
        -f [fname] process fname
        -format [format] specify byte format
        -h display options
        -save save fname as fname.udt
-udt [uname] read select items from uname
-uv [vname] write recs from fname to vname
NOTES:
(1) Valid byte formats for source files:
        1 - UNIX (Motorola 86000 format)
        2 - XINU (Intel x86 format)
        3 - NUXI (VAX format)
(2) -uv option cannot be used with select lists
