The new IBM ODBC driver is a lot faster than the old Ardent driver. The problem may be that it is too fast for the SQL Server to handle and this is causing a buffer overflow. There are parameters within ODBC to change buffers and slow the transfer of records. Have you considered upgrading to SQL Server 2000 will likely perform better and DTS can handle the speed issues better.
