Hi All,

I would like to disable UniObjects and ODBC access to UV 10.1.x on AIX via the Unirpc service but still allow UniAdmin to function.

I think I can achieve this editing the /usr/ibm/unishared/unirpc/unirpcservices file but I am unsure which services I need to edit/remove to stop UniObjects.

All the services currently defined use * in field three to indicate access from any host, the docs don't say if there is a value I can put in here to allow access from no hosts (including localhost).

Does anyone know what the various services listed correspond to?
My dev box (which runs UV and UD) has:

uvnet /usr/ibm/uv/bin/uvnetd * TCP/IP 0 3600
uvdrsrv /usr/ibm/uv/bin/uvdrsrvd * TCP/IP 0 3600
uvserver /usr/ibm/uv/bin/uvsrvd * TCP/IP 0 3600
uvcs /usr/ibm/uv/bin/uvapi_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
uvfilefix /usr/ibm/uv/bin/uvfilefix_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
udcs /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udapi_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
defcs /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udapi_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
udadmin /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udadmin_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
udadmin60 /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udadmin_server * TCP/IP 0 3600
udserver /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udsrvd * TCP/IP 0 3600
unirep60 /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/udsub * TCP/IP 0 3600
rmconn60 /usr/ibm/ud60/bin/repconn * TCP/IP 0 3600

regards,

Craig
