Check BCI for direct access but if that doesn't do the trick we can write an mv.NET routine that will allow you to trigger data read/write from your U2/*nix to any relational database. The solution would not be free but it would be very easy to use. Of course if larger sites wanted to buy this too I'd credit whoever funded this for some part of their investment in the development.
We see requests like this all the time here and elsewhere, but unless someone says they really want this I wouldn't make the development investment on my own.
