That's almost a contradiction. If the UD compiler doesn't like a D3 command
it will simply reject it. If it had the capacity to recognize it as a
variant, it would probably allow it to be compiled.

LOCATE is a great example of prior conflicts and current allowances.

I think a pre-compiler is one that takes coding shortcuts and finishes the
job, ie
OPEN/CUSTOMER/F.CUSTOMER
