MSDE is replaced with the upcoming release of Microsoft SQL Server 2005. It is now called "SQL Server 2005 Express" and it is FREE! It is limited to 1 CPU, 1 GB Ram and 4GB Database size. Although it is just a better way of marketing MSDE, I would consider this as a thread to U2. Especially for those of us, that develop some kind of "standard software" with U2 and also target smaller customer sizes, as we do.
