Mea Culpa,

1. You do have to create the backup file before launching uvbackup, but
you do not have to create the file containing the screen contents before
hand (if you've chosen that option).

2. Using the DOS command as documented (without the START command),
uvbackup works, but it displays the screen contents on the UV screen if
you've chosen to store the screen contents in a separate file for later
review.

3. Adding the START command - eg. DOS /c START (pathname) - starts the
batch file or executable outside of UV and does not display the screen
contents within UV - a preferable condition if you are running this from a
phantom (which I haven't tried yet).

4. Double quotes surrounding the pathname change nothing when used
without the START command and cause uvbackup to fail when used with the
START command.

So (Leroy), the START command should be added to the DOS documentation as an
option to prevent the screen contents from displaying on the UV screen.

Thank you again, Ray, for sharing the START command with us.

Rgds,

Dave
