Ah, I think you are missing one key point -- ODBC is a wrapper to SQL. Use the SQL GRANT command on the UniData SQL tables (DICTS that do not have dots in names and other nuances that make them SQL-compatible) from which the ODBC schema are derived. You should see a file named privileges (all lower case) in which the results of SQL GRANT statements are stored.
