Tom, You probably need to backup all accounts with uvbackup and restore them with uvrestore. This is a record backup upgrading the files to the current revision level I did it with *nix systems, so that might make a difference, but it is the safest way to go. We did not succeed to convert the indexfiles, so you will probably have to remove those first and recreate the indexes afterwards.
You also may want to look at recompiling the programs as the common structure may have been altered.
