In addition to deleting the V pointer to the verb and recataloging my program in the VOC, using the DIRECT or LOCAL option (I prefer the DIRECT option), I *also* have to delete the V pointer to all synonyms of the verb (eg. SP.EDIT in addition to SP-EDIT) and copy the catalog pointer for the program name (SP-EDIT) to the name of the synonym (SP.EDIT) in the VOC.
