That is true, Bellevue is a suburb of Seattle so I always call it Seattle,
not really accurate, but an old habit.

I believe Escom originated in Bellevue.

Then why is it I took a course at Escom in Belleview, WA in 1995? Was
this a different company under the same name? It was run by a guy named
Steve, can't remember his last name, looked to be of Asian decent.

At the end Escom, Had Escom Seattle, Escom Mountain States - a joint
effort of Escom and Bill Walsh of Denver, Escom Vancouver - again a
joint effort of Escom and a gentleman from Vancouver whose name I can't
recall, an Escom Portland OR, and Escom Boise, Id. The were all sold to
Anacomp in, I believe, 1977.

I worked with some software from Escom in Vancouver back in 1979. I seem
to recall their were other companies trading under the Escom name -
Escom Mountain States for one, and another company in Washington state.

Did anyone else ever work with their RAD package named THOR?

They were Microdata Reality distributors and I later worked on a
conversion from Reality to Prime Information.

I remember trying to convert Escom's Distribution package from Pick to
Pr1me Information over a very long weekend, back in 1979. One glitch
being them using a user exit in place of regular input statement.

Didn't Escom have a 'sister' company called Devcom? But then again,
Devcom never produced anything of consequence. ;-)
