This method may not be a bug but it does have undesirable results If Field1 has a value of $10 and is iconv "md2" then it is 1000 If Field2 has a value of 1 and is iconv "md3" then it is 1000
If you query if field1 = field2 then the answer is yes 10 = 1 The inconsistency is that an SQL statement will identify them as different.
