Windows is usually happy with multiple threads in a process. If you have the
opportunity, try it both ways, and let us know whether you see any difference
when sorting large numbers of records (and/or multi-level sorts). As far as I
am aware (from hints dropped over the years by such as Dave Meeks and Glenn
Herbert), UniVerse sorting has always been multi-threaded, so this may just be
an opportunity to switch it off for platforms where multi-threading is a bit
flaky. Windows is definitely not in that category.
