If you're going to be setting up an HA cluster that syncs over a LAN
connection, you might also want to look into a stonith (shoot the other
node in the head) device. This is what we're using:

It enables the backup node to kill the power to the primary node if the
two lose communication over the LAN. This prevents any users who may
have still had an active process on the primary from continuing to
update data once the backup becomes live. Additional info can be found
