Yes, we do it all the time. My preferred method: 1. Use a database trigger to write to a tickler file 2. Use a phantom process that reads from the tickler file 3. Do the update 4. Delete tickler record
Of course in order for all this to happen you must be able to filter and format the data in an agreed format with the 3rd party software, using ftp or some other method of delivery, email notifications and exception reports.
