I recently had the unfortunate experience of losing the connection to about
half our users when the Telco had a major router crash. I was surprised to
find that users not affected by the outage were not able to use a different
application which does a call to UniVerse using UniObjects. This
application hung at the point where it calls to UniVerse.

If this were a sockets issue - is there a way to clear the sockets or
restart the Unirpc.

In this event we chose to stop and start both affected applications as we
knew there would be other problems with the non-UniVerse application when
the users were able to reconnect.

Thoughts would be appreciated as this is not the first time the Telco has
had major problems.

Now using UniVerse 10.1.16 on Red Hat Linux.
